Proven track record designing rich web or pc-based apps is a must. The ideal candidate should also understand controls and events in a WPF or SilverLight app.

IMT is a creative and development agency with a fun, fast-paced and collaborative environment. We specialize in developing rich user experiences with a focus on Natural and Multi-Touch interaction.

We develop apps for several large format multi-touch platforms including Microsoft Surface and LCD based technologies. 

Some of our customers include CNN, GE, P&amp;G, and General Motors.

      <title>Silverlight/XAML UX Designer</title>

*Required Skills*

&#8226; Must have experience with &#8220;Flash&#8221; or &#8220;Director&#8221; development (using Behaviors, advanced capabilities) or equivalent in another tool.
&#8226; Candidate must be able to work individually as well as collaborate with User Research.
&#8226; Experience incorporating Usability feedback into the design process a must.
&#8226; Knowledge of XAML preferred
&#8226; Working knowledge of Windows Server environments, or the IT professional space, preferred
&#8226; Experience creating of XAML for controls and complete UI designs.
&#8226; Experience working in Blend or other WPF application building tool.
&#8226; Candidate must be able to work individually as well as collaborate with User Research.
&#8226; Experience incorporating Usability feedback into the design process a must.

*Qualifications*

5 plus years work related experience required. Minimum of 2 years experience in a lead role. Strong knowledge of user interface and functionality design required. Strong creative skills and ability to generate design ideas required. Advanced experience in creating and implementing usability studies, personas, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures, and affinity diagrams is required. Advanced knowledge of web technologies (i.e. HTML and CSS). Fluency with standard design software tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) required. Advanced interaction design and web technology skills (i.e. Flash) may be required. Strong knowledge or experience with database served websites. Experience working with rich client or web applications preferred. Must have the ability to understand and integrate customer needs and motivations into specific areas of product design to contribute to user features and functionality. Must be familiar with industry standards and trends. Strong communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team required. Must have ability to own and drive projects. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

*Responsibilities*

Code primarily in PHP, Javascript, HTML &amp; CSS
Work with our Chief Product Officer and other Software Engineers to implement the next generation of Vibio
Build efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems
Identify and address performance bottlenecks
Drive design and code reviews
Interact with other team members to incorporate their innovations and vice versa
Identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering

*Requirements*

Extremely detail oriented. Strives for pixel perfect implementation in all browsers
Passion for elegant and intuitive user interfaces
Expert knowledge of web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS)
Experience with scripting languages (PHP, Python, Perl, etc.)
Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable code for UI components
Knowledge of but not reliant on Prototype JS, MooTools, Dojo, jQuery, etc.
2+ years of experience building web applications
